HOW I GOT STARTED

People always ask me how I started Ivy’s Wood Creations and for the most part I say it was by accident.  In 2007 I  made a couple of wood cutouts of a horse and cow for the mom’s group I belonged to and left the event with a few orders.  Year by year the business grew.  I love being an entrepreneur, the hard work, creativity and problem solving were made for me.  I love creating something of quality that brings joy to my customers and happiness to me.
When my kids were really little I worked out of the garage during nap time and would load them up to deliver the signs I rented out.  Many times I would be putting up a seven foot stork in someone's yard as my children ran around the customer’s yard.
Now we are in our own commercial space with a 1000 foot workshop and a much larger CNC machine.  We expanded from just selling on Etsy to this new website. We are also fulfilling my dream of hosting sign painting workshops for teens and adults. We have event space in our shop and we travel as well to bring paint workshops to the surrounding Roseville area.
My business is not just a job, it's a collaborative effort with my children and my best friend-my husband who has stepped in and stepped up to be the partner I never experienced before and the father to my children
We are happy you are here and look forward to helping you with your sign needs.
